From the Executive Director
Recently SVAR changed its focus from running its Animal Medical Center to engaging in animal rights work. Although SVAR continues to invest in free spay/neuter programs, we believe significant progress can be made by being involved in animal rights work.
Our newly revised website provides a summary of the issues we are following. Please take time to become familiar with the many issues impacting the lives of animals as well as the very simple and quick actions you can take to protect the defenseless. Sincerely,

Mission
Silicon Valley Animal Right’s (SVAR) mission is to abolish the property status of non-humans and thereby abolish the institutions that perpetuate the exploitation and killing of non-humans.
Directors
Anita Chitkara - Director/Treasurer.
When not volunteering for SVAR, Anita advises corporate clients on international income tax matters. Anita resides in Fremont, California and was educated at Sardar Patel University in India.
William T. Phillips - Director/Secretary.
William is real estate director for the Stanford Management Company. He resides in Portola Valley, California and received his MBA from UC Berkeley.
Rebecca Trevino - Executive Director.
